After more than 21 years of service, Flint Group Africa/Continental Printing Inks has announced that Sampie Hamman will be stepping down from his role as CEO. Hamman joined Continental Printing Inks in 1994, and under his leadership, he has built the Group to its current position as the largest supplier of printing inks to the Sub-Sahara African market.
“It has been an emotional decision, but it comes at the right time after 21 rewarding years working with some fantastic people in an exciting industry," Hamman says. "I’m very proud to be leaving the company well positioned for future growth as part of a major multinational business.”
Pieter Jordaan, commercial director, for Flint Group Africa/Continental Printing Inks, has been appointed as vice president and general manager in Africa to help support the organization’s continued development. In this new role, Jordaan will report directly to Doug Aldred, president, Flint Group Packaging and Narrow Web division.
“I would like to place on record my thanks to Sampie for all of his hard work and support in helping Flint Group to establish a leading position in Africa," says Antoine Fady, CEO, Flint Group. "Sampie will remain on the board of Flint Group Africa to ensure a smooth transition. In the meantime, Flint Group’s Board remains fully committed to supporting Pieter Jordaan and his executive team, who will continue to drive the Group’s vision and objectives for the benefit of clients, employees and shareholders."
Flint Group Africa serves the Sub-Sahara African market from its local manufacturing sites in Johannesburg, Durban, and Cape Town, where the company places a strong focus on customer service and product quality.
