French label manufacturer Sextant Étiquettes has turned to Prati for its non-stop glueless turret rewinder STARPlus, which increases productivity and reduces running costs. Sextant Étiquettes after witnessing a demonstration at Prati's Faenza factory.
The STARPlus has been designed to work non-stop and inline with any narrow web press, as well as repeatability, reliability and precision–even in the case of transverse perforations. Based on a servo motor system, which automatically regulates rewinding tension, STARPlus enables high productivity and accuracy.
According to the company, this saves converters on consumables and lowers energy consumption by up to 40%.
"After taking a good look around on the market, we were won over by the robust concept of Prati's turret rewinder," says Augustin Monroe, director of Sextant Étiquettes. "Furthermore, we were reassured by the proximity of both the French and Italian after-sales outfits, and also by the absence of a hot-melt system or any other glue. We were very impressed when we visited the factory in Faenza, and the demonstration of the machine was equally effective."
APGraphics assisted the deal as an official distributor and helped Prati recently install the machine with Sextant Étiquettes.
