HawkPoint Technologies, an evolving software company within the paper converting and label industries, has announced it will install its Shop Floor software program at Neenah Paper. According to Hawkpoint, Neenah Paper realized productivity and information gains while doing a trial of HawkPoint Technologies Shop Floor software program on one of its sheeters. They have now signed on to roll the software program out to all machines within the division to allow for efficient project management.
HawkPoint Technologies' Shop Floor software program interfaces with existing manufacturing processes to achieve high efficiencies with maximum uptime. The company says the easy-to-implement, job tracking software uses automated machine interfacing to collect real-time shop floor data on critical manufacturing processes such as setups, downtimes, run speeds, roll changes, scrap analysis and more.
Brandon Flees, Converting Manager at Neenah Paper, says, “We chose HawkPoint Technologies because of their proven success with converting data acquisition systems and their affordable pricing. Their Shop Floor program allows our converting facility to collect, trend and share operational data. This data will help us identify and prioritize cost-saving projects, maintenance reliability issues and speed optimization opportunities. HawkPoint Technologies programs are user-friendly and can be easily modified to keep pace with our ever-changing product lines.”
Troy Dunsirn, owner of HawkPoint Technologies, comments, “This software solution will help improve Neenah Paper’s productivity by allowing their management team to see real-time data on operator performance, material consumption & production, job costing and scrap analysis. It is truly a pleasure to partner with Neenah Paper.”
