Continental Datalabel has announced the appointment of Pat Flynn as the new president and chief operations officer. He will assume responsibilities immediately and will succeed Tim Flynn, who has moved into a strategic role on the board of directors.
Flynn has been part of the Continental Datalabel team for 26 years, and he previously held the position of director of Western operations before being promoted to president and COO.
“First, I would like to personally thank our valued distributor partners for their continued support of CDL,” Flynn says. “As the market changes for all of us on the trade manufacturing side of the business, the changes have been monumental for our partners. We intend to make updates to equipment, products and services, to help our distributor partners be the best they can be and offer the end consumers products that work well and look good whether on a box for shipping or directly on their product.”
Flynn has had a significant role in the creation of new products and improving CDL’s manufacturing processes. His most recent project of implementing a new ERP and CRM integration has already provided great enhancements to the way information is stored and shared throughout the company and delivers new improvements to business insights.
In addition, Rich Filip has been appointed executive vice president, effective immediately. Filip has been part of the Continental Datalabel team for 29 years and previously held the position as director of sales before being promoted to executive vice president.
“I am excited to accept the new position of executive vice president of CDL and will lead the team into the next stage of our strategic development. I feel this new opportunity puts me in a position to have more impact in expanding the scope of our distributor partnerships and keeping our team focused on the total distributor experience," he says.
Filip's recent efforts include working with Flynn on the strategic planning of CDL’s future development. A significant contribution the pair has already initiated is adding new, state of the art manufacturing equipment. The company is also in the process of opening its newest facility in Dallas, TX, which is slated fir March.
