Wilson Manufacturing has opened a new facility in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The new facility will initially provide repair and sharpening services for a wide range of converters in the greater Toronto area, as well as customers throughout Detroit and Buffalo. Area customers will benefit from greater accessibility to Wilson service and support, and can count on cost efficiencies from reduced shipping costs as well.
It is estimated that a typical die requires retooling four to five times over its lifetime. Related cross-border shipping costs can reach upwards of 30% of the cost of the die. The new Wilson facility will help to significantly reduce such costs for these Canadian and US customers.
“We are excited to bring our world-class service organization closer to the customers who count on Wilson to keep them productive and profitable,” says Todd Westover, sales and marketing director for Wilson Manufacturing. “Our new Toronto facility will make it faster, easier and more affordable for these regional converters to handle all their rotary tooling needs.”
