Xeikon has announced that Michael Ring, president of Xeikon America, was inducted into the National Association for Printing Leadership (NAPL) Walter E. Soderstrom Society. The induction took place on September 7, 2013, at the Soderstrom Society Awards Dinner in Chicago, IL, USA.
The Society and the awards are named for the late Walter E. Soderstrom, one of the founders of NAPL. NAPL is a leading trade association for the commercial printing industry. The September function honored 15 industry leaders, including printing firm owners, equipment manufacturers, consultants, and educators.
“The Soderstrom Society is the gold-standard of professional development in our industry,” Ring says. “Looking at the names of the Society’s members, and my fellow inductees, was a great reminder of the kind of people we have leading the printing industry. It’s an honor for me personally and reflects well on everyone on the Xeikon team who work with me every day.”
NAPL, founded in 1933, has been a management education and industry research leader at every stage of the industry’s growth and transformation. In 2005, NAPL and NAQP, NAPL’s resource for Quick and Small Commercial Printers, were combined into one association, with a renewed focus on member services, research, education and consulting.
