Rohm & Haas reworks
its adhesive business
Over the past months, Rohm and
Haas, Philadelphia, has undertaken a
major reorganization of its North
American adhesives business unit, the
result of a comprehensive analysis of
the global adhesives market.
The effort is part of the company’s
sharp focus on its adhesives business
following the acquisition of Morton
International late in 1999.
Mark Douglas moves from Singapore
to become the North American
region general manager. The company’s
adhesives laboratory in Woodstock,
IL, is being relocated to a more
modern facility in the Chicago area.
North America accounts for approximately
40 percent of the company’s
$700 million adhesives business.
Rohm and Haas is a $6 billion producer
of specialty materials operating
more than 100 plants in 25 countries.
