Renaissance for UK label trio

Renaissance for UK label trio
The UK label market is wide-open. It is not exceptional for the larger operators to change ownership within the space of a few years. Three well-known UK label converters with a varied history typify this situation: Label Double S in Bradford, West Yorkshire; Customark in the West Midlands, and Stampiton of Stockport, near Manchester.
Their common link is that each has exchanged one US owner for another, following the sale of Mail-Well’s labels division to Renaissance Mark Inc. Now all three belong to the Denver company, which is said to be North America’s second largest label producer. The $75 million it paid for the total labels assets will help Mail-Well reduce a hefty debt load and concentrate on more buoyant print segments.
