Renaissance reorganizes UK business interests
More transatlantic label business, this time involving Renaissance Mark. Since acquiring Mail-Well’s label division in May last year, this Denver-based company has examined its English inheritance and decided on some tidying up. It will now focus investment on the core UK businesses of Stampiton in Stockport, near Manchester. It is widely known for stock label lines for non-impact printers, as well as customized EDP/computer products. Also retained is Double-S Labels in Bradford, West Yorkshire.
Renaissance Mark’s reorganization led to the sale of Customark, a Stampiton division that serves the industrial labels markets for OEM and logistics companies. The buyer is IntelLabel, a newly formed company that plans to develop label markets in the food, horticultural and engineering product sectors. This company also acquired Double-S Systems, which works closely with Customark to provide customized label applications for the electronics industry.
