TLMI & FFTA to hold
The Tag and Label Manufacturers Institute, (TLMI) and the Foundation of the Flexographic Technical Association will hold a technical conference September 10-12 at The Hyatt Regency Hotel in Chicago.
The conference, titled “Science or Science Fiction: Bringing Technology Into Focus,” is designed to help plant and production managers throughout the tag and label industry uncover the “truths and myths” about printing technology.
Industry professionals from across the converting spectrum will lead seminars on a variety of diverse topics, including “Training in the Workplace,” “Press Technology,” “Digital Processes,” “EB and UV Technical Update,” “Foil Decorating,” “Flexible Packaging,” “Shrink Sleeve Markets,” “Lenticular Technology,” “Direct to Plate,” “Radio Frequency ID,” “The Manufacturing Process,” “Statistical Controls,” and “Color Process Printing.”
The conference will be chaired by Bruce Riddell, vice president of technical development for Spectrum Label Corporation in Hayward, CA; and co-chaired by Mike Buystedt, technical director of Akzo Nobel Inks; and Rick Mix, technical director of the Flexographic Technical Association.
The registration fee for the three-day conference is $395 for TLMI and FTA members ($545 for non-members), prior to August 1; and $450 for TLMI and FTA members ($645 for non-members), after August 1.
