Inge Kuschnitzky retires;
founder of I.KELA
Inge M. Kuschnitzky, founder of I.KELA Company and current operations manager, retired July 31.
Kuschnitzky started the company in the Philadelphia area in 1985 as one of the first distributors of UV curing lamps in the US. In 1989 she moved the company to Sarasota, FL, and worked closely with Trinity Graphics to head up their UV letterpress ink business. In 1991, her son Peter joined I.KELA and helped expand the company, first by acting as the representative for a rotary hot stamping manufacturer, and later to design and manufacture rotary stamping systems.
Over the last 10 years more than 500 hot stamping units have been sold worldwide. The company was acquired in 2000 by Illinois Tool Works.
