Sun Chemical opens
ink plant in Poland
Sun Chemical Corporation, the world’s largest ink manufacturer, has opened a plant in the Polish city of Marki, near Warsaw.
“Poland is an important center for the media, printing and packaging, and Sun Chemical is committed to supporting this region’s aggressive expansion,” says Wes Lucas, chairman, president and CEO.
Poland’s rapid rate of pressroom modernization, the growth of both locally-owned and international printing companies in Poland, and the strong exports from Poland are among the reasons given for Sun’s expansion. The plant will produce both paste and liquid inks.
