WS Group acquires
Concept Inc.
WS Packaging Group Inc., headquartered in Algoma, WI, has purchased the assets of Concept Inc., of Carson City, NV. Concept, a manufacturer of labeling equipment, becomes part of the WS Automated Systems division, which includes a manufacturing plant in Mason, OH.
Founded in 1991, Concept designs, builds and manufactures a variety of labeling products, ranging from small tabletop machines to large systems with bar code printers and scanners, vision systems, and out-serters.
Concept founder and president David Midboe has been named president of WS Packaging Group - Automated Systems. Joel Smith is general manager for the Carson City location, and Mike Niehaus remains general manager for the Mason plant.
