Dunwoody students win Akzo scholarships
Jenny Wrobel and David Malherek, both students of Dunwoody College of Technology in Minneapolis, each have received scholarship awards of $1,250 from Akzo Nobel Inks. The awards are based on merit qualifications earned through the digital imaging program at the college.
Wrobel and Malherek, now in their second and final year at Dunwoody, are planning to seek careers in the flexographic industry.
Akzo Nobel Inks, whose US office is in Plymouth, MN, has donated equipment to update Dunwoody’s ink lab. The equipment includes an ink management system, a spectrophotometer and software, a viscometer, and a light booth. The company also supplies the college with water based and UV curable inks for paper and films.
