New Comco press
installed at CPCC
A new Comco flexographic press has been installed in the Harper National Flexographic Center at Central Piedmont Community College, Charlotte, NC.
The press was acquired to accommodate the growing number of students participating in the annual International Phoenix Challenge High School Flexographic Competition, as well as being utilized in the school’s ongoing hands-on study of flexography, according to Brett Fansler, division director of applied technologies.
The addition now gives the Harper Center a total of four flexographic presses: one Mark Andy 830, one Mark Andy Scout and two 7" Comcos.
Fansler expressed appreciation to Harper Corporation of America, Flexographic Technical Association, Mark Andy, Master Graphics and The Phoenix Challenge Foundation for their efforts in obtaining the press.
