Esko-Graphics upgrades Dunwoody workflow
Minneapolis based Dunwoody College of Technology recently received an addition and upgrade to last year’s installation of PackEdge and FlexRip, both from Esko-Graphics.
The prepress equipment supplier installed a digital workflow consisting of the latest versions of Plato, BackStage and DeskPack. The latest edition of PackEdge and Plato enhances Dunwoody’s current prepress for packaging curriculum. BackStage and DeskPack allow high-end trapping, multi-ink and direct-to-RIP capabilities from student workstations.
Dunwoody operates two Mark Andy 2200 flexo presses and has an ink lab sponsored by Akzo Nobel Inks, as well as a digital imaging lab made up of equipment and software from companies like Creo, Esko-Graphics, DuPont, Anderson & Vreeland, Latran Technologies and Olec. Students have won numerous awards, including those presented by the FTA and TLMI.
