Ahlstrom marks growth in glassine liners
Ahlstrom’s LabelPack division, a supplier of release base papers, reports a 33 percent increase in sales in specialty, tape and industrial segments in 2004.
Although the self-adhesive label stock business is the biggest user of release liners, the company has also focused on specialty market segments, specifically at its French plant in LaGère. A major share of its output is represented by Silca Industrial, a range of high performance two-side siliconizable glassines, available in shades and substances up to 130 g/m2.
Ahlstrom is headquartered in Helsinki, Finland, employs approximately 6,500 people and operates in more than 20 countries on five continents. Annual net sales of Ahlstrom's fiber business exceed e1.5 billion.
