Mark Andy, DuPont, Esko-Graphics open
prepress demo facility
Mark Andy, Esko-Graphics and DuPont have opened a joint prepress and on-press workflow demonstration site at Comco’s manufacturing facility in Milford, OH.
The demonstration facility offers flexo printers and converters the opportunity to review the entire process “live”, from artwork to pre-flight, to platemaking through press setup and print run, and showcases the prepress equipment in a true production oriented environment. In addition, the Comco product line of package printing technology continues to be on display for live demonstration and application testing.
“We are excited about providing a one-stop demonstration facility for printers and converters to examine the industry’s top name equipment providers,” says Jerry Henson, manager of print services for Mark Andy. “By displaying the entire work flow, converters can build their knowledge of the equipment necessary to provide the quality and productivity their customers are demanding today.”
Esko-Graphics is providing a complete digital computer-to-plate system, consisting of its Scope for Packaging workflow and a DuPont Cyrel Digital Imager (CDI) Spark XT. Scope for Packaging is Esko-Graphics’ new and most advanced workflow environment, covering a wide range of functions and capabilities.
“Mark Andy has an exceptional heritage producing and supplying narrow and midweb printing presses that are versatile, productive and profitable. We believe Esko-Graphics shares those same goals of productivity and cost-effectiveness for the converter,” says Mark Vanover, Esko-Graphics’ director of marketing, North America.
The DuPont CDI Spark XT images digital photopolymer plates in sizes up to 1200 x 900mm (48" x 35"). It supports any imaging resolution between 2000 and 4000 dpi.
