XericWeb to acquire
UV systems maker
XericWeb Drying Systems, of Neenah, WI, manufacturers of infrared and convection drying for the web flexo industry, has announced plans to acquire ECS (Energy Converting Systems), a manufacturer of high performance UV curing systems.
“Adding the UV systems developed by ECS completes our line of dryers for web presses,” says Rodger Whipple, president of XericWeb. “We will be able now to supply dryers for whatever a printer wants to use, whether it’s UV, water based or solvent based inks or coatings.”
XericWeb Drying Systems designs and manufactures irAIR dryers, which combine infrared heat with high velocity air to provide efficient, high speed drying, as well as standard convection dryers. Plans call for the ECS operations, now in Brea, CA, to move to Neenah by the end of this year.
