Alien qualifies MPI
as RFID partner
MPI Label Systems, headquartered in Sebring, OH, USA, has been named a qualified partner of Alien Technology Corporation. The designation allows MPI Label to convert, test and ship Alien’s RFID transponders directly to end users.
According to David Bledsoe, Alien’s director of OEM and consumables, the company requires converters to send RFID labels back to Alien for testing until qualified. MPI, one of only four companies with the qualification, can send the labels it converts on to the customers.
“Alien’s qualification program establishes the highest levels of confidence in our partners’ labels for performance and reliability,” Bledsoe says. “MPI’s achievement as a qualified converter and its continued focus on product quality is setting the industry standard.”
MPI Label Systems employs more than 500 people in seven manufacturing facilities and 35 sales offices.
