Daetwyler donates
products to Cal Poly
Max Daetwyler Corporation (MDC), of Huntersville, NC, USA, a manufacturer of doctor blades and other equipment for the printing industry, has been recognized by California Polytechnic State University for its donation to the school’s Graphics Communications Department. The company donated Collage software and an engraver upgrade.
The Collage Layout System is an advanced concept in job layout planning for the packaging, decorative and specialty printing industries: a single workflow for offset or gravure for any output device: electromechanical engraver, laser engraver, computer-to-plate imager, MDC engraver or Helioklischograph engraver.
The engraver is being donated by Southern Graphics Systems, Richmond, VA, and will be refurbished at the MDC branch located in Dayton, OH, before being sent to Cal Poly.
