ANI Printing Inks, headquartered in Germany, has signed an agreement to acquire the assets of Macro Australia Pty Limited, a leading independent supplier in the Australian and New Zealand market for UV flexo inks, adhesives and varnishes for narrow web converters.
Macro, a pioneer in UV flexo technology, has developed free radical curing inks to be used on shrink sleeves with a high degree of shrinkage.
“Our entire organization is driven by our efforts to understand today’s and tomorrow’s label converters’ requirements, and then provide the right solutions with effective, responsive and personalized local support,” says Ewald Draaijer, president and general manager of ANI’s narrow web division.
“With the Macro acquisition we buy in to a well established local support organization with a highly specialized product portfolio and some excellent synergies for us in Australia, New Zealand and the rest of the Asia Pacific,” he adds.
In December 2004, ANI Printing inks and BASF Printing Systems merged and formed a new company for printing inks, printing plates and pigments/resins for the graphics and packaging industry.
The company has 65 fully owned subsidiaries in 30 countries and a wide network of distributors covers another 50 countries. The group, headquartered in Stuttgart,
