Lüscher Flexo UK has appointed Dantex Graphics Ltd. a non-exclusive distributor for FlexPose!direct plate and sleeve systems in seven countries in Western Europe. The direct laser engraving technology is aimed at label and packaging converters as an alternative to computer-to-plate flexo systems. Dantex already represents the US organization RIPit, whose OpenRIP and Odessa Power Converter are said to offer a digital proofing option that works with a FlexPose!direct workflow. Since 1977, Dantex has also been the European distributor for Toray water-washout photopolymer plates.
Based in Bradford, West Yorkshire, Dantex will handle sales and service arrangements for FlexPose!direct in the UK, France, Germany, Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.
