New quality program
is unveiled by GiDue
Buoyed by rapid growth in the narrow web label and packaging sector, GiDue has restructured its manufacturing operation and created the Athena Quality Programme, named after the Greek goddess of wisdom. GiDue, based in Turate, Italy, manufactures narrow web presses.
Company officials unveiled the quality program at a recent meeting of distributors. Key aspects include more efficient processing of customer enquiries, a method of design and manufacturing that reduces development costs for new projects, and a documentation program that ensures that technical requests are suitably analyzed and recorded. It also includes improved procedures for manufacturing, product testing, quality control and acceptance tests.
GiDue announced that all press parts are now subjected to Alnick surface treatment to optimize life and scratch and rust resistance. New paint formulations further enhance the aesthetics of robust press frames. New electro-mechanical procedures and improved gear design have addressed marking or banding issues.
