Water Ink Technologies, an ink manufacturer headquartered in Lincolnton, NC, USA, has been presented by the Lincoln Economic Development Association with its Milestone Award. The award, presented by the county, recognizes the company’s 20-year anniversary.
“We are pleased to recognize Water Ink Technologies’ 20-year commitment and contribution to the city of Lincolnton and Lincoln County,” said Laura Foor, business coordinator for the association. “Over the past twenty years, Water Ink has not only made an economic impact, but the company and its employees have been very active in the civic life of this community.”
The company recently made a significant donation to the flexography program at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT): the latest version of its Ink Miser computerized ink batching system. The system was provided in conjunction with an overall ink management program for RIT, including UV and water based inks, technical assistance, and training seminars. The Ink Miser enables RIT to mix standard PMS colors and custom ink formulas in-house from an inventory of base inks.
In other company news, Water Ink Technology’s Mexican distributor, Sermamex, has expanded beyond its Mexico City location by adding a branch in Monterrey. Sermamex provides printing supplies to flexo, rotogravure, and offset printers throughout Mexico.
