Harper revives its
traveling flexo show
Harper Corporation, Charlotte, NC, USA, announces the 2006 Harper Flexographic Solutions Tour, a road show that includes free one-day seminars throughout North America at colleges and universities with flexographic printing programs. For this year’s tour, the Harper GraphicSolutions team will be touring with industry experts.
“This year, we’re giving the format a complete makeover and delving into solutions. In the past, the Harper Flexo Road Show has featured important anilox-specific information. This year, we’re addressing how to resolve common flexographic problems,” says Alexander James, technical graphics manager at Harper GraphicSolutions.
The company says sessions are designed for print managers; print supervisors; pre-press managers; graphic designers; ink, plate and pre-press suppliers; and purchasing and/or general managers. Sample topics include pre-press practices to control color management, producing predictable and reproducible flexo, causes and prevention of anilox scoring, ink handling for paper and film, and analog vs. digital plate operation.
Seminars will take place in the US in Charlotte; Rochester, NY; Fullerton, CA; Warrensburg, MO; Greensboro, NC; and Appleton, WI and in Canada in Mississauga, ON.
The first stop of the road show will occur in May and the last in August. To register for any event, contact Jennifer Jackson at 704-588-3371 or 800-438-3111, ext. 246.
