Kurz expands finishing and manufacturing plants
Kurz Transfer Products (KTP), of Charlotte, NC, USA, has announced the expansion of its US facilities, significantly increasing manufacturing and finishing capacities in multiple locations.
The expansions include doubling the size of its Elk Grove, IL finishing and distribution facility and the installation of new finishing equipment in its Anaheim, CA plant. Additionally, KTP has concluded a substantial capital investment program in its Lexington, NC manufacturing location, sharply increasing domestic production capacities.
Myron Werner, area sales manager for KTP’s graphics foil products, says, “It is important for us to be able to service our customers quickly and efficiently; the expansion of central manufacturing and distribution warehouse plant and equipment will allow us to do just that.”
To meet growing demand for foil products, the Illinois warehouse doubled its physical space and added specialized finishing equipment. Investments in the California finishing and distribution facility include slitting, spooling and cutting equipment, enhancing the ability of the site to provide optimal service for its West Coast customer base.
The North Carolina plant has been expanded for the third time. The latest expansion included new physical plant space and equipment, almost doubling domestic foil production capacity.
