BST Pro Mark donates inspection system to DFI
BST Pro Mark, of Elmhurst, IL, USA, has donated a new Powerscope 3000 video web inspection system to the DiTrolio Flexographic Institute (DFI), Broadview, IL, which has been installed on its 13” six-color Profiteer press.
John Thome, general manager of BST Pro Mark, says, “Flexo training facilities such as DFI play a vital role in our industry. BST Pro Mark is grateful to be able to give back in some small but meaningful way, through our support.”
The inspection system features a compact camera with a 4” x 3” image size and 40X magnification, which, according to DFI President Vince DiTrolio, “allows us to use it both as an inspection system and as a real time teaching device. We can magnify and freeze images of the actual print at any time using the Powerscope, and then spend time with the students explaining causes, effects and corrective actions.
