Schober USA has introduced its new line of small-hole rotary punching modules which the company says are ideal for tear off perforations. With hole diameters of just 0.9mm (0.035") and the capability to produce 7,400 holes per revolution, this new technology can be used with, for example, an offset or gravure printing press for the production of postage stamps, tear-off coupons, tear-off promotional items and more. The module is just 480 mm (19") wide so it fits in a small footprint, and requires little floor space. Proper registration is ensured through the close proximity of the punching tools. Punch waste, which is extracted through the hollow die cylinder, is easily disposed of.
