Kocher + Beck’s Gapmaster is an anvil cylinder in which the gap, defined as the clearance between the magnetic cylinder and the anvil cylinder, can be set exactly to a micron. Where the standard version of the GapMaster has the positioning element mounted permanently to the unit frame, so that lifting the GapMaster out for cleaning, or even for stamping the reverse side, is not possible without the effort of resetting, the new GapMaster IC (Integrated Control) can be lifted by the machine operator from the stamping unit without further effort, with a few movements at the special lifting bar, and mounted at another position in the same unit, or even in another stamping station of the same type. No further adjusting work is required.
