PCMC-Aquaflex has launched the new ELS-D dual-servo press, designed to drastically reduce waste and setup times while providing the best possible print registration in its class and unmatched production run speeds. By utilizing advanced pre-registration, sleeve technology, and a motorized pressure setting, printers can set up a new job 50-75 percent quicker than on a conventional press, the company says. Complete Job Recall further reduces time and material waste, equating cost savings. The press is also designed to flawlessly restart jobs with the aid of automatic register. When running film, the Aquaflex ELS-D allows the operator to make a “running measurement” on throw length, by telling the press how to adjust without the need to stop to remove and measure material. The operator can then save and recall the job with the throw length adjustment made.
