FLEXcon, a manufacturer of adhesive coating and laminating products, has announced it has been selected by Rhode Island-based General Label, Inc. to provide materials for home security system keypad coverings. Utilizing one of FLEXcon’s FLEXmount mounting adhesives, General Label can provide graphic overlays to allow homeowners to customize their security system keypads to match the décor of their home.
“We choose to work with FLEXcon because of their ability to develop custom solutions that fit our customers’ needs,” says Michael Baskfield, General Label. “FLEXcon is able to make adjustments throughout the development process to quickly deliver a high-quality product for us to create our decorative skin.”
Using FLEXcon’s FLEXmount double-faced clear polyester mounting film, coated with a removable pressure sensitive adhesive on one side and a permanent pressure sensitive acrylic adhesive on the other, General Label was able to create what it calls “the perfect solution.” The removable pressure sensitive acrylic adhesive bonds well to metal, glass and high-surface energy plastics.
“We are excited to work with General Label to give homeowners the ability to customize their security system to match their style,” says John Bennett, vice president, FLEXcon. “Working on this custom project allows us to reach the homes of consumers across the country with our unique product offering.”
