MPS Systems North America Inc. (MPS) announced it has sold an EF flexo press to Bizerba Label Solutions, located in Joppa, MD, USA.
According to John Gomeau, president of Bizerba Label Solutions, the deciding factors for purchasing the MPS EF press were its operator-friendliness, open design, advanced features such as Crisp.Dot and iControl, quick change die system and press automation. “We are very impressed with all this press has to offer,” says Gomeau. “The fact that it can run very thin films at high speeds and in stable register is very remarkable. It’s also great that we can continue to use our existing plate roll tooling stock.”
Gomeau says he also feels with MPS’ commitment to service, the two companies will build a partnership that will enable Bizerba to become more efficient with quicker changeovers and faster print speeds.
Kees Nijenhuis, vice president of MPS Systems North America Inc., agrees that the two companies’ focus on service makes for a great relationship. “Bizerba’s success is a direct result of their focus on delivering first-class service to its customers. That is the same at MPS. Service, whether its connecting customers with the right press to meet their exact needs, or training press operators to get the most from the press or providing outstanding preventive and repair maintenance, customer service is our number one priority,” he says.
Gomeau adds Bizerba was in the market for a new press in order to meet increasing demand from both new and existing customers. This is the first MPS press for Bizerba USA; however, its parent company Bizerba has purchased nine MPS presses in total.
