tesa scribos GmbH
Hamburg, Germany
For protection against counterfeiting and refilling of the original bottles, tesa scribos has launched bevSeal. The new product has been specifically developed for the wine and spirits industry.
The company applies the tesa security seal, which is an adhesive seal and adheres to the neck of the bottle in such a way as to make it difficult for sealing caps to be removed and original bottles refilled. When it is opened, the security seal is destroyed so retailers and consumers can see at a glance if the bottle has been tampered with.
This anti-counterfeit measure features a sequence of numbers and letters that is specific to each bottle. The coding is then repeated on the seal on multiple verification levels, both visible and concealed. A laser lithography process is designed to provide maximum protection against tampering and counterfeiting.
The German tesa bevSeal also utilizes tesa dtect app. The QR-code reader in the tesa app scans the tesa PrioSpot or tesa VeoMark security code and transmits it securely to a database. The database then interactively checks the code and explains to the user how to distinguish originals from counterfeits based on the security label.
