Canadian developer and manufacturer iSys Label has announced a partnership with UniNet as OEM of its label printing technology. The agreement went into effect on September 1 and authorizes UniNet to distribute the line of printers throughout its global network as the iColor 700 and 900.
In addition to the sale of these products, UniNet will also provide full service, support and carry stock of the consumables for the label printing equipment.
Designed for in-house production of labels, these short-to-mid run digital label printers print single-pass, diecut labels on demand. Their media width ranges from three to 12.9 inches and lengths of up to 1,200 feet per roll. This allows for printing on self-adhesive labelstock, tag stock and approved films/synthetics.
These roll-to-roll digital printers are compact and can complement existing workflows and other print technologies.
“As the demand increases for our short-to-mid run label printer line, it’s becoming more crucial for us to work with larger strategic partners to reach end users in a more effective and efficient way,” says Randy Rickert, director of iSys Label. “With UniNet’s extensive history in the print industry and established distribution network, we believe they will add a large amount of value throughout the chain and we look forward to creating an even stronger partnership in the near future.”
UniNet recently joined the iSys Label team at Labelexpo Americas and Graph Expo, which both took place in Chicago in the fall of 2014. Joe Dovi, COO & executive vice president of UniNet, says, “We are so excited to bring on this new line of printers, which is a perfect complement to our growing range of iColor printers and services.”
UniNet will exhibit the iColor 700 and 900 digital label printers at trade shows, including Pack Expo, West Pack, Packaging Innovations, Graphics of the Americas, among others in the forthcoming year.
