Textures by Domino is a unique inkjet capability of the Domino N610i digital UV inkjet label press.

Domino Digital Printing, in booth 6523, is introducing to the US market “Textures by Domino” on the Domino N610i digital UV inkjet label press, and debuting the K600i double-white bar digital UV inkjet printer.

"Textures by Domino" is a new unique inkjet capability of the Domino N610i digital UV inkjet label press which was launched at Labelexpo Europe 2015, and will make its first US showing at Labelexpo Americas 2016. "Textures" allows label printers to produce visually striking, tactile, three-dimensional digitally printed textured labels that enhance shelf presence and make brand owners’ products stand out from the crowd.  Ideal for a variety of sectors – including wine, beer, and cosmetics and beauty, this technique represents a cost-effective way to create labels with high visual and “feel appeal” that also help to maximize customer engagement.

"Textures by Domino" adds another capability to digital printing that provides added value to both label printers and brand owners. "It is no longer just about producing short and medium length production runs efficiently, it is also about enabling innovative value-add design capability. An endless selection of textured effects can be created using the Domino ink jet printing technology," says Bill Myers, marketing director for Domino.

Domino has two N610i digital UV inkjet label presses in its booth, one equipped with AB Graphic inline finishing, and the other N610i printing roll-to-roll. Printing 600 x 600 dpi native print resolution at a minimum of 164 fpm, the N610i offers the productivity of flexo, with the versatility of digital.

In addition, Domino will be debuting its K600i double-white bar UV inkjet printer. The K600i will be integrated on a Delta ModTech finishing system and will be shown printing specialty marketing applications. "The opacity of the Domino white, coupled with the ability to print variable data for a host of applications, enables brand owners to take their ‘unique and individualized’ product marketing to the next level," Myers says.
