09.19.16

Pentalabel ClearFloat meets the Design for Recycling Guidelines as set by the Association of Postconsumer Plastics Recyclers.

Klöckner Pentaplast showcased the company’s latest range of label film packaging solutions and services at Labelexpo Americas at the Donald E. Stevens Convention Center in booth #3710. Among other Pentalabel films, kp is presenting the high performing floatable shrink label film, Pentalabel ClearFloat, designed to increase efficiency in the recycling process. In addition, the company is delivering a PMMI Master Class that explores new substrate options that have recently come onto the market.

The Pentalabel shrink film line has expanded the company’s Pentalabel shrink film line to include a new high performing floatable label film, Pentalabel ClearFloat. These high performing floatable films satisfy the growing market need for films that meet the standards set by the recycling community, while providing the clarity, processability and durability required of today’s consumer labels.

Pentalabel ClearFloat meets the Design for Recycling Guidelines as set by the Association of Postconsumer Plastics Recyclers, providing a higher yield of PET container recycling. ClearFloat is engineered to offer high shrink percentages for optimal design freedom and visual impact. The film is available from Klöckner Pentaplast global sites in Europe and North America.

Phil Heyworth, group vice president for the label division, will deliver a PMMI Master Class— Sleeving Substrates and Their Usage—on September 14, 2016. Says Heyworth, “this class is excellent for navigating the minefield of selecting exactly the right shrink sleeve substrate for the container and applicator/shrink tunnel – and in particular, exploring some of the new substrate options that have recently come onto the market.”
