Applications: Our scent coatings are widely used to add value, effectiveness, and unique point-of-difference to all types of print products, such as primary labels, shrink sleeves, flexible packaging, blister packs, folding cartons, and any print media. And our scent coatings can be applied to all types of substrates such as paper, synthetic papers, plastics, shrink films, and even non-wovens.

We offer the widest range of scent coatings, which include Rub’nSmell®, Scratch’nSniff®, Snap’nBurst®, and Scent-A-Coat®. These coatings are used in all types of printing processes, such as flexographic, offset, gravure, and silk screen applications, and are available in aqueous, solvent, resin, and UV bases.

The Power of Scent: The sense of smell is one of the most persuasive senses we have. Smell triggers memory, which means that smells are also highly emotive. Therefore, when consumers engage a printed label, package, or scented print media (such as direct mail, catalogs, etc.), their experience registers at a higher emotional level than an unscented label or package, thus improving product recall, trial, and brand loyalty.

Scent-on-packaging is also proven to increase sales by engaging and educating consumers about the product at point of sale where 75% percent of purchase decisions are made. This direct positive relationship with consumers and scent-on-package has helped make Scentisphere the leading producer of Scratch’nSniff® stickers.

In fact, a recent study conducted by the analytic firm, Mai Reserve definitively finds that the majority of consumers surveyed say that they are more likely to purchase a product that has scented sticker than a product without a sticker, and that brands that include scent on their packaging are significantly more likely to be considered innovative and caring.
