Two locally grown Toledo area businesses, Grace Imaging and Toledo Spirits, have teamed up to make a big impact in the fight to contain COVID-19.

As COVID-19 cases began to pop up locally and resources quickly became scarce, Toledo natives and local small business owners across the city looked for ways to help. Known for its high-quality spirits made from locally sourced ingredients, Toledo Spirits decided to switch gears and convert its Toledo distillery into a hand sanitizer manufacture.

With the help of Grace Imaging, which is based in Perrysburg, OH, the two companies were able to produce hand sanitizer packaged for both consumer and industrial use. With a nimble model that allows for quick turnaround – and by using materials that are able to withstand the handling associated with hand sanitizer containers – Grace Imaging came through with labels ready for application within days instead of weeks.

“There’s more to producing a hand sanitizer that just creating the liquid," says Andrew Newby, Toledo Spirits co-founder and CEO. "Packaging and proper labeling of the product are critical, and Grace Imaging stepped up to produce labels for our products with a 24 hour turnaround.  Compared to other printers who needed up to a 20-day lead time, Grace Imaging produced and delivered the labels we needed to start providing resources to the public in a time of crisis. Together, we feel like our two small businesses are making a big difference at a time when so many are in need."

“We are committed to a culture of caring for others and providing high quality, fast solutions for companies of all sizes," explains Bob Petrie, Grace Imaging owner and founder. "Grace Imaging employees have a passion for producing labels, so when we learned about the opportunity to team up with Toledo Spirits to produce labels for such an important cause, we were thrilled. Together we’ve proved that small businesses can make a big difference when they join forces to produce creative solutions to a global issue. Working together, we are Toledo Strong."
