Multi-Plastics Inc., of Lewis Center, OH, USA, has announced that its Ohio facility was audited and passed, on the first attempt, the AIB Consolidated Standards as a Food-Contact Packaging Manufacturing Facility on November 27.
AIB International (American Institute of Baking) is committed to protecting the safety of the food supply chain and delivering high value technical and educational programs. Meeting AIB compliance with the standards set forth for overall product safety throughout its facility is a demonstration of commitment to the industries that a company serves. All other North American facilities of Multi-Plastics have been initiating the same overall changes and will be audited by the end of second quarter in 2008.
Since 1979, Multi-Plastics has been slitting and converting thin gauge plastic film in rolls and sheets serving the envelope, carton, printing, and packaging industries. The company has eight plants in the US, Canada and the United Kingdom.
