The Fasson Roll North America division of Avery Dennison has launched seven new flexible packaging products, and combined the expanded offering with low minimum order quantities suitable for promo pieces, regional promotions, test marketing, sample pouches, and single-serve portions, among others. The new products include four film-faced laminated digital substrates that can be surface printed, white and silver foil-sealant basestocks for sub-surface printing, and film-faced laminated stickpak.
The seven products are part of the Fasson Rapid-Roll FlexPak product line. All Fasson flexible packaging materials are FDA compliant for direct food contact.
“Speed to market is a huge competitive advantage for brand owners,” says Randy Parrish, director of Rapid-Roll Products. “Our expanded product offering gives narrow web converters more opportunities to help brand owners competitively leverage their SKU strategies. All the new products are available in smaller order quantities that can be shipped between 24 and 48 hours after they are ordered. Along with the quick turnaround that digital printing affords, narrow web converters can respond in a way that ensures products make it to the store shelves in the shortest possible timeframe.”
The four Fasson Digital Indigo products include a white multi-ply snack web, metalized snack web, clear multi-ply snack web, and metalized coffee web. Suitable packaging applications include dry food and powdered ingredients. “With these new foil-sealant laminates, narrow-web converters can build small-quantity sub-surface printed products on press,” Parrish says. “And they can do it with quick delivery to their customers. Being able to sub-surface print expands their capability portfolio, and that means brand owners have another option beyond wide-web applications.”
