Nuova Gidue’s headquarters near Florence was the stage for a meeting between seven supplier companies in the label and narrow web industry. On December 11-12 2013, experts of Nuova Gidue, UPM Raflatac, Adare, Esko, Flint Group, Dupont and Apex Group of Companies gathered for a kick off meeting to participate in a new project spearheaded by Gidue called “REVO, Digital Flexo Revolution."
This REVO project has been put together to develop a new way for flexo to compete in the market. The REVO Project Team aims to provide an answer on behalf of the flexo industry to the increasing importance of digital print, especially in label and narrow web packaging. The Project Team is working on developing a concept that will expand the possibilities for flexo converters. High quality print, increased efficiency, higher productivity and improved sustainability are all being emphasized. All partners bring special knowledge and dedicated products in their own specific fields of the flexo industry.
The result of the collaboration will lead to a "Plug & Play" concept for printers which that will be launched during a Gidue open-house in May 2014.
