Avery Dennison Label and Packaging Materials North America has made two new additions to Select Solutions collection. The labeling and packaging leader has launched a Small Diameter portfolio, which offers small circumference labeling options for tight mandrel applications.
It also features select flexible paper and film facestocks and high-performance adhesives. According to Avery Dennison, the facestock and adhesive combination produces outstanding excellent mandrel hold on overlap and closely positioned, leading edge/trailing edge labeling.
Label materials offered in the Small Diameter portfolio are appropriate for a range of applications, including lipstick, lip gloss, eyeliner, eye shadow pencils, lip balm and pill containers. They may also be used on pens, pencils and markers.
“Label design and layout can work in combination with material performance to achieve optimum labeling results,” says Dave Collins, product line director, specialty, Avery Dennison. “When labeling small diameter applications many factors can impact performance, including facestock flexibility, ink and varnish coverage, and the size of the label overlap. All of these elements were taken into account when developing the Small Diameter portfolio.”
Avery Dennison has also introduced the Select Solutions Kiddie Sticker portfolio. The portfolio contains an array of facestocks, nontoxic adhesives and a lay-flat liner, and its constructions allow for for the production of two- and three-dimensional stickers that draw attention and help put smiles on faces.
All the Select Solutions Kiddie Sticker portfolio materials are inherently printable in a variety of processes ranging from flexo to digital and are suited to diecutting, laser cutting and embossing. The ready-to-roll, lay-flat liner is suited to sheet applications and will not curl.
“The iridescence of reflective light and the shelf-stopping impact of brilliant, glowing colors within our Kiddie Sticker portfolio help differentiate brands, communicate messages and accelerate sales,” adds Collins. “Beyond the facestocks, the portfolio’s adhesives are toxic risk assessment-compliant, which provides assurance the labels are safe for children to handle.”
