Flexographic Technical Association’s (FTA) 2015 Annual Forum, themed “Hitting the Perfect Harmony,” is scheduled for May 3-6 in Nashville, TN, USA.
One session in particular, Upside Down or Inside Out: What’s Next in Packaging? will help converters live up to the theme of the show with their customers by keeping them current with the latest trends in packaging design. The two-hour session, set for Sunday, May 3 at 12:30 p.m., will mark the opening of Forum 2015.
Upside Down or Inside Out: What’s Next in Packaging? will focus on overall packaging trends that are being driven by changing population demographics, including printed electronics and brand protection.
Chaired by Penny Holland, Sun Chemical, and Galen Croxton, Tetra Pak, the session will explore new opportunities for flexo printers/converters to consider as they seek to diversify offerings, expand capabilities and increase revenue streams.
“It’s critical that flexo printers be familiar with what’s new and hot in packaging design,” says Holland. “Staying on top of current trends and up and coming technology can mean potentially new sources of revenue and new growth opportunities. Sharing these innovations with their customers can add a layer of credibility and customer loyalty.”
Session topics and their presenters are:
“Packaging Trends,” Colleen Twomey, California Polytechnic State University
“How Technology and Consumer Trends Affect Packaging’s Future,” Suzy Badaracco, Culinary Tides
“Brand Protection Solutions,” Lori Campbell, The Label Printers
“Be prepared for new ideas, new technologies, and new ways to be successful,” adds Croxton.
