The order marks Rotocon's second sale of the Truepress Jet L350UV in South Africa, since being appointed reseller of the inkjet label press less than one year ago.
The press operates at speeds up to 50m/min on a 350mm web. Using Screen's proprietary high-definition CMYK+W UV inks, the Truepress Jet L350UV produces a wide-gamut of colors and tones at high resolution.
The Screen Truepress Jet L350UV press was voted "Best Label Printing Solution" in the 2014 European Digital Press Association Awards.
Numerous print trials were completed at the Screen Demo Center in Amsterdam and delivered to the HP Labelling team for evaluation. "Andrew (Mantell) and I were extremely pleased with every printed label sample Screen provided," says David White, HP Labelling general manager. "The high print quality, fast machine operating speed and throughput, and a positive ROI analysis led to our decision to invest in the Screen Truepress Jet L350UV, to complement our flexographic print production capabilities. It was also important that reliable technical support was guaranteed through Rotocon, who locally represents the Truepress Jet L350UV in South Africa."
"It has been an exciting 10 months since we began representing the Screen Truepress Jet L350UV in South Africa,” says Pascal Aengenvoort, sales director of Rotocon. “We are pleased to secure our second sale and honoured that Chris Bobbert, CEO of HP Labelling flew to Cape Town to officially sign the order, in addition to a celebratory visit by Brian Filler, president of Screen Europe and Mark Sherman, area director of Screen Europe. With our field technician receiving extensive training on-site at Screen for the Truepress Jet L350UV, we are well-positioned to locally serve customers in South Africa with a digital solution for short-run label printing."
