Mark Andy continues to grow its market share in Romania, according to the company’s local agent, Graphic Open Systems (GOS). Most recently, sales of Mark Andy’s award-winning Performance Series flexo presses have been made to Inovalabel and Sunimprof-Rottaprint.
Inovalabel, which began life as Geba Color back in 1997, is a long term Mark Andy user. Starting with a bank of used Comco Cadet and 2200 machines, it acquired its first new press, an 8-color Mark Andy XP5000 in 2005. A Performance Series P5 followed in 2012, and since then, two new P3 machines have been installed in 2014 and 2016. All are 8-color lines and have the 250mm web width.
Sunimprof-Rottaprint was one of Romania’s narrow web flexo pioneers back in 1992, and started production with a used Mark Andy. Investment in new technology started with another manufacturer, but in 2005, the company decided to switch to Mark Andy and purchased a 280mm 8-color Mark Andy LP3000 line, fitted with UV curing. In 2012 the company added a 8-color Performance Series P5, but this time with a 330mm web width, and most recently has agreed to purchase another 8-colour 330mm P5, which is due to be installed in June.
Speaking for GOS, Sebastian Boureanu says: “We have built excellent working relationships with both of these customers who have come to rely on Mark Andy’s technology and service support to grow their businesses - and GOS is proud to have played a significant part in their ongoing success.”
