As the label printing industry continues to find ways to be efficient and cost effective while meeting high consumer expectations, more digital innovations are becoming available to manufacturers. To fulfill this growing demand, Diversified Labeling Solutions (DLS) has announced the acquisition of a hybrid digital press for its Atlanta location. 

Mark Andy and Colordyne have partnered to engineer an analog/digital label converting system – adding full color digital inkjet printing capabilities to existing flexographic presses. This system combines a 10-inch-wide, 4-color Mark Andy flexo press with the Colordyne 3600 water-based process color digital press.

This printing solution allows DLS to offer:

• High quality, custom die-cut digital labels with perfect PMS matches
• Low and high-volume runs that print up to 275 ft./min with its analog die configuration
• Variable imaging
• Several protective coating and laminate options
• Label sheeting, fan folding and roll configurations

By utilizing hybrid technology, DLS is expanding its digital footprint into three of its five facilities, and considers this exciting procurement one more way it is actively seeking to meet the ever-changing needs of their distributors and consumers.
