Bernhard Grob, 65, has announced his retirement from Edale after having spent 30 years with the company. His plan is to focus on spending more time with his family while continuing to remain active as a consultant within the narrow web industry.
Grob joined the company in 1987 as the European sales manager and shortly became managing director of Edale. After stepping down from the post in 2000, Bernhard took up the role of Export sales director to focus on growing Edale overseas into the globally-recognized company it is today.
“I would like to take this opportunity to say goodbye and thank you to the many people I have met and friends I have made all over the world during my career,” says Grob. “A particular thank you to Grahame Barker, the owner of Edale, with whom I have shared many successful years, and I wish him and his team every success. I will continue to be active within the industry, passing on my experience and sharing knowledge.”
Edale has taken the opportunity to strengthen its sales team and appoint two new sales managers. Darren Pickford joins Edale as sales manager and brings a vast amount of experience within the industry, having previously worked for Bobst and Nordmeccanica. Pickford will continue to build on Edale’s success in export sales alongside strengthening the company’s worldwide agent and distributor network. Simon Cosh joins Edale in January 2017 as UK sales manager, strengthening Edale’s position within the UK.
