Constantia Flexibles has hired Ibon Odriozola as head of innovation, Laminates, for the company’s Pharma Division. Odriozola will direct Constantia Flexibles’ Laminates Product Excellence Center, a new research center for the design and development of innovative laminate concepts.
Comprising three development engineers and six application engineers, Odriozoia’s team is charged with developing technology driven, user-friendly products that help pharmaceutical manufacturers protect their products and further their brand promises.
Prior to joining Constantia Flexibles, Odriozola was head of polymers and composites at the IK4-CIDETEC Research Center in San Sebastian, Spain, a visiting researcher at the University of Leeds in the UK, a lecturer in organic chemistry at University of the Basque Country in San Sebastian, Spain, and a Postdoctoral Fellow at Universite Louis Pasteur in Strasbourg, France.
Odriozola received a degree in chemistry from Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland, and a Ph.D. in organic chemistry from University of the Basque Country in San Sebastian, Spain.
