Printing Industries Alliance has announced that Ricoh has joined the list of presenters at the second Digital Print Think Tank, organized by Printing Industries Alliance (PIA), on July 26, 2017 in New York City.
The growing list of presentation sponsors also includes Canon, Heidelberg, Xerox, HP and Konica Minolta. Prime presentation slots are still available. Call or email Marty Maloney at 203-912-0804 or m.maloney@pialliance.org.
The event will take place at Club 101, located at 101 Park Avenue, New York, NY at 40th Street. Mark Michelson, the event’s lead moderator, will be joined by expert panelists, speakers and presenters. Over 100 printers will hear the latest updates and options for all areas of digital printing, including toner, inkjet production, label and packaging, and wide format. A digital experience printers panel will feature top management from printers large and small; including Mike Graff, CEO of Sandy Alexander, and Cheryl Kahanec, president of Marketing Solutions Group, Earth Color.
Marty Maloney, executive vice president, Printing Industries Alliance, states, “It has been over a year since our first Think Tank and printers are requesting an update. They like our format, which allows them to make side-by-side comparisons and find out which press should be their next digital purchase."
A new tier of sponsorship is being added to the event. This new tier will be a non-presentation sponsorship that will give supporting vendors a reserved table for five persons, an in-room small perimeter table to sell, as well as display literature and an opportunity to speak on a panel. Complete details of both sponsorships are found below. Participants in this non-presentation tier are expected to be announced soon.
The event will cut across all digital printing technologies, from the simplest to inkjet production, and all applications will be discussed. The presentations will be interspersed by discussion panels that will include a panel of digital printers and also a panel of digital press manufacturers, as well as a panel of suppliers that support digital printing.
Presentation sponsors will typically be press manufacturers, and non-presentation sponsors will be paper, finishing, software, color and others supporting the digital print industry.
Participating presentation sponsors receive:
Participating non-presentation sponsors receive:
Presentation sponsors will pay a single inclusive fee of $3,900. Non-presentation sponsors will pay a single inclusive fee of $1,300. Printers and others registering for the event will pay a discounted rate of a $109. The actual cost is north of $200 per person.
The last Think Tank was held in October, 2015 (18 months ago) and had an audience of well over 100 people from the metro NY and NJ area. PIA is expecting to exceed that number. Printers have asked the organization to hold this digital printing forum. After multiple evolutions at drupa and Graph Expo, they want an update that allows them to make side-by-side comparisons and find out which press should be their next digital press.
